Position Title: Art Gallery Attendant and Events Assistant
Contract Term: July 5 2025 – August 30 2025

Hours of work: Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:15 PM July and August (9 days in total) Salary $ 30.00 per hour

About the Role:
The 100 Mile Arts Network is seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic person to work in our Art Gallery on Saturdays throughout July and August and to assist with the set up and take down of our Art in the Park event. The hours will be from 10am to 12pm assisting with Art in the Park, from 12pm to 4pm working in the Gallery and from 4pm to 5.15pm assisting with the take down on Art in the Park.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Coordinator for Art in the Park with the set up and take down of the event.
  • Set out signage for the Gallery and open up the Gallery at 12pm
  • Greet visitors to the Gallery
  • Inform visitors to the Gallery about the artists and the work that is on display
  • Process and record sales of art
  • Track and document attendance at the Gallery
  • Close up the Gallery at 4pm

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Bilingual
  • Energetic, flexible, and community-oriented
  • Available to attend all Saturdays during the contract period
  • Must have a vehicle to transfer tents, folding chairs and tables to the site
  • Must be able to carry equipment and supplies up and down 1 flight of stairs
  • Familiar with or willing to learn proper set up and takedown of kiosks/tents
  • Assist artists in setting up kiosks/tents
  • Previous experience with or education in the arts, artists encouraged to apply
