100 Mile Arts Network

What We do

The 100 Mile Arts Network connects, supports, and promotes English-speaking creative professionals across the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais, MRC de Pontiac, and MRC de la Vallée-de-la-Gatineau, where they have long lacked institutional support. By reducing isolation, creating opportunities, and boosting visibility, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive regional arts community.

For creative professionals:

– Organize paid opportunities for artists: workshops, concerts, and more
– Support artists with professional development
– Facilitate networking, collaboration, and artistic exchanges
Promote regional artists and their work

For venues/organizers:

– Represent a talented membership to call upon in putting on a concert, art show, commission, and more
– Offer dedicated grants for organizing shows
– Provide support and reach in publicizing events
– Support or lead grant applications

For the public:

– Offer free art shows, concerts, and workshops featuring regional talent
– Highlight cultural events across the region
– Provide an inside look at the work of local creatives
– Share news and opportunities through social media and our newsletter

Artists are the heart of our community

At 100 Mile Arts Network, we believe artists strengthen communities and inspire change. Whether you’re an artist, organizer, or arts enthusiast, we invite you to join us in building a stronger, more connected arts scene!

The 100 Mile Arts Network was created to address the lack of support and visibility for English-speaking artists in the rural MRCs des Collines-de-l’Outaouais, Pontiac, and Vallée-de-la-Gatineau. The Network brings together artists, venues, event organizers, service providers, and other stakeholders to strengthen the arts ecology in western Quebec.

Our five-year strategic plan outlines the Network’s vision to serve as the primary hub for regional English-speaking artists and its mandate to activate and connect stakeholders through effective programming. The plan is built around four strategic priorities:

  • Reduce isolation among artists and members by offering regionally anchored events, mentorship programs, shared spaces, and opportunities to connect across MRCs and disciplines.
  • Establish organizational stability by securing core and multi-year funding, strengthening the Network’s reputation, and deepening community engagement through unique programming.
  • Build capacity for both the organization and its members by developing in-demand skills, offering member benefits, mapping the Network’s reach, and increasing support for underrepresented regions and disciplines.
  • Enhance visibility of English-speaking artists and the 100MAN through partnerships, targeted outreach, promotional tools, and a strong communications plan that spans the local, regional, and national levels.

By focusing on these priorities, the 100 Mile Arts Network will continue to grow a resilient, connected, and inclusive arts community that reflects the diverse voices of the Outaouais region.
