[Closed] Call for Artists: ‘Mis-fits’ Exhibition

Be a part of our next group gallery show! This is a call for the Overlooked, the Out-of-Context – work that emerged outside your usual process, an experimentation, or a thought which refused to leave, a creation you loved but never shared. The quiet works, the comedic cousins, the strange ones, the ones that were shelved or archived because they didn’t seem to belong anywhere else.

These works will be celebrated at the 100 Mile Arts Gallery from December 4th to February 5th 2025-26.

We are welcoming submissions from all professional artists, working in the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais, MRC de Pontiac, and the  MRC Vallée-de-la-Gatineau. Preference will be given to artists that fit our organization’s mandate to support English-speaking creative professionals and who have not already had exposure via our gallery in the past year.

Artists of all disciplines: Painters, poets, fibre artists, photographers, filmmakers, sculptors, ceramicists, fashion and furniture designers and beyond. We want to see the corners of your practice that are rarely seen.

Art works will be selected by a jury of professional artists. They will be evaluating submissions based on craftsmanship, expression, aesthetics, innovation and unexhibited work out of sync with your usual art practice.
