About the Workshop
Got a piece of writing in your head but not sure how to get it on the page? This session walks you from the first idea through to a finished piece, whatever the type or genre. Phil uses a guided handout to help you move through the process at your own pace. Bring a laptop, a notebook, or just paper and a pen.
About the Artist
Phil Jenkins
Phil Jenkins is a writer, performing songwriter, and speaker based in the Pontiac. His books include Fields of Vision, a cross-Canada portrait of family farms, and River Song, a history of the St. Lawrence that he partly researched by sailing its full length on a replica 19th-century schooner. Three of his books have reached bestseller status, and he’s written for National Geographic Traveller, Canadian Geographic, Equinox, and others. As a musician, he’s performed solo and as a founding member of the quartet Riverbend for over forty years.
