About the Artist
Andrée Benson
Andrée Benson is a fibre artist who works with wool, silk, and cotton to create sculptures, landscapes, and wildlife portraits. She’s been needle felting for nearly six years, and her interest in natural fibres runs to knitting, crocheting, wet felting, and traditional rug hooking. Her work is available at the End of the Line Boutique in Wakefield. She’s studied with rug hooking master Deanne Fitzpatrick (Order of Canada recipient) and continues to develop her technique with UK artist Sophie Wheatley. She currently teaches needle felting at Wabi Sabi in Ottawa and at the End of the Line Boutique in Wakefield.
